We took a trip out around Hana side with some friends and saw this rainbow forming. I love to watch the clouds forming a rainbow over Haleakala.
Maui, Hawaii has incredible panoramic views that just can’t be seen in a regular photograph. So I took some panoramic shots at Haleakala National Park, inside Haleakala Crater, and they turned out excellent! I’ve always wanted to take some droplet photography of some of the amazing plant life here on Maui, and I finally had my chance while camping in Haleakala Crater. We decided to hike Switchbacks trail at Haleakala National Park down to Holua Cabin this week, and even though the hike down was quite wet, the next morning provided me with an excellent opportunity to take macro droplet photography on many plants and flowers. The Maui bees are out of control! They’re hooked on the basil again, and they’ve got to have it! So I had to take some photographs up close and personal with the bees on basil. These bee were in our friends backyard sucking up the nectar, so I used my camera to capture them up close.

There were all kinds of small objects around me to get pictures of, especially this incredible Orange Fungus, a Monarch Butterfly, and Milkweed. These are all macro pictures taken in Haiku, Maui.
